Overview: The Transportation RN (0.6 or 0.8 FTE) is a key member of the School-Based Health Transportation Team, coordinating care for school‑aged children who receive school‑district–provided transportation between their home school and the Nationwide Children’s Hospital School-Based Health Clinic (SBHC). The SBHCs offer a variety of primary care–level services, and the RN supports access to this care through telephone outreach to parents or legal guardians to review health histories, obtain informed consent, and offer services. The RN ensures that accurate, complete clinical information is documented and communicated to the SBHC provider to support safe, seamless care. This position follows the school-year calendar and includes summers off. Job Description Summary: Emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention as they assist patients and families to move rapidly, uneventfully, safely, and as effectively as possible through their episode of care. Delegates, oversees and provides quality, safe and developmentally appropriate patient care.
