About The Position

New Horizon Academy is excited to open a brand-new school in Huntersville, NC in Fall 2026, and we are seeking a dynamic, dedicated School Director to lead the way! What You’ll Do As the School Director, you will: Build a strong foundation by fostering meaningful relationships with families and the local community Recruit, develop, and inspire a high-performing, diverse team of educators Lead with purpose and heart, ensuring every child and staff member feels seen, supported, and able to thrive Drive enrollment growth and cultivate a positive, inclusive school culture Ensure compliance with state licensing and accreditation standards while maintaining excellence in programming Achieve and maintain accreditation through NAEYC and/or NECPA Own the school’s financial performance by managing budgets, optimizing expenses, and driving revenue growth Balance financial responsibility with a deep commitment to investing in people, programs, and the overall well-being of the school community What We’re Looking For Qualified candidates will: Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field Have at least 2 years of management experience in a licensed early childhood setting Possess the North Carolina Early Childhood Administration Credential (or equivalent) Meet Program Administrator qualifications for NAEYC accreditation Have a strong understanding of NC state licensing regulations and QRIS Pathways Demonstrate leadership, organization, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Preferred qualifications: Strong understanding of childcare assistance programs and North Carolina Pre-K programs at the state and county level Experience navigating the NAEYC accreditation processes. The ideal candidate brings a thoughtful approach to creating and sustaining high-quality learning environments, with a deep appreciation for how compliance and educational excellence work together to support meaningful outcomes for children and families. Requirements
