About The Position

Khalsa Montessori Elementary School is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team! You will perform clerical and administrative functions in order to drive school success. This important role will provide confidential admin. assistance to the School Director and/or Business Manager by contributing high-level administrative support. The School Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in maintaining state charter compliance.

Requirements

  • Fingerprint clearance card or willingness/ability to obtain
  • Must have personal smartphone
  • Previous experience in office or school administration or other related fields
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Photo editing experience is a plus!

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or comparable level of education, previous experience and familiarity with education laws, rules, and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Draft correspondences and other formal documents
  • Maintain Arizona charter requirements including Student Information System functions, meeting note-taking, filing of confidential and/ or public documents, and records retention in compliance with Federal, State, and District policy and guidelines
  • Plan and schedule appointments and events
  • Photograph school events
  • Answer inbound telephone calls, utilize record keeping software- a high level of tech-savviness is required
  • Develop and implement organized filing systems
  • Serve as recording secretary for the Board of Directors.
  • Perform administrative office tasks with a high degree of accuracy, and continuous improvement of processes and procedures
  • Help manage and update school website
