About The Position

The Scheduling Registration Rep is responsible for scheduling appointments from incoming phone calls in a high-volume call center, processing necessary registration information, and educating patient families about their financial obligations.

Requirements

• High School graduate or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) required
• 1+ years Customer service experience required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to serve a variety of people in a fast paced call center environment
• Proficient data entry skills with accuracy and speed

Nice To Haves

• Experience in registration and/or scheduling preferred
• Epic experience preferred
• Call center experience preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on established clinic protocols preferred.
• Excellent organization and prioritizing skills necessary to work in a fast paced multi-functioned department preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules appointments via incoming telephone calls per Central Scheduling protocols and facilitate intake process for appropriate triage utilizing CHW technology.
• Provide pre-registration support for scheduled services per department guidelines.
• Discusses potential financial obligations with parent.
• Educates parent guardian or patient on managed care process and required authorization needed per CHW policies and managed care contractors.
• Updates insurance information for accuracy and verifies current/ future eligibility
• Place outbound calls to patient families to schedule and register appointment via work lists found in work queues.
