About The Position

The Schedistrar is responsible for scheduling procedures and visits for the division, accurately obtaining required information for medical records, governmental requirements, billing, and third-party payer needs. This role ensures patients have all necessary information regarding their coverage and benefits related to their visit and informs them of their financial obligations so they arrive prepared. The Schedistrar also handles communications with multiple departments and collects deposits and co-pays.

Requirements

  • 1-year experience in customer service and general clerical/office procedures

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred
  • 1-year healthcare experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred
