About The Position

Reporting to the QPC Program Manager and serving as a member of the QPC team, the Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling all appointments related to the Quality Parenting Center (QPC) program. This includes informational meetings with DCF, Family Time visits involving children, parents, and caregivers, and the planning of visit-related activities. The QPC is a community-based, supervised visitation program that uses a parent empowerment model to serve DCF-involved families whose children have been removed and placed in foster care or with relative/kinship caregivers. This position requires strong knowledge of child welfare/CPS practices, family dynamics, legal issues, and community support systems. The Scheduler is also required to participate in all DCF trainings related to the QPC model. TECHNOLOGIES: Microsoft Office Suite, Scheduling Platform (ADP WFM), Online Trainings Platform (ADP WFN), Electronic Health System (Carelogic by Qualifacts), Provider Information Exchange System (PIE)

Requirements

  • HighSchool Diploma orGEDequivalent.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain current CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, andmaintainvisitation schedules for the QPC program across all hours of operation, including weekends, in collaboration with DCF staff and area offices.
  • Post andmaintainvisitation schedules in a HIPAA-compliant manner.
  • Maintain daily logs of visits and transports and prepare related data reports asrequired.
  • Arrange transportation for visits, including transportation needs for children/youth, parents, and caregivers, as applicable.
  • Ensure Transport staff have all required equipment for visits andtransports, including car seats, first aid kits, spill kits, cell phones, and PPE when needed.
  • Develop andmaintainvisitation schedules for the QPC program across all hours of operation, including weekends.
  • Coordinate staff coverage forcall-outs, vacations, and other staffing emergencies.
  • Build and manage working relationships with DCF staff, families, caregivers, and children to support communication, collaboration, and service coordination.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of all client information and records, ensuring adherence to agency policies and procedures.
  • Activelyparticipatesin staff and departmental meetings, in-service trainings, workshops, and conferences, and effectivelyutilizessupervision to support professional growth and enhance service quality.
  • Function as a member of the Administrative Assistant team, providing support and carrying outadditionalduties asassigned by the Executive Administrative Assistant based on operational needs.
  • Maintainsappropriate personalboundaries with young people and families served at The Children’s Center of Hamden,in accordance withthe agency’s Boundary Code of Ethics.
  • Maintains awareness of The Children’s Center of Hamden’s Policy and Procedure Manuals and accesses relevant information as needed to guide decision-making and ensure compliance.
