This position is for our Clifton Park location, and this position has a schedule of Monday to Thursday 10:30 AM- 7:00 PM, and Friday’s 9:00 AM- 5:00 PM. What do we offer at Ellis Medicine? Schedule appointments and perform check‑in/check‑out and patient registration Maintain front‑desk flow, manage phones, messages, mail, and customer inquiries Handle prior authorizations, referrals, lab/imaging follow‑up, and scan/preload documents into the EMR Complete COVID‑19 screening, cash reconciliation, and preparation of encounters and records Assist clinical staff with obtaining records and completing necessary documentation (e.g., no‑show letters, disability forms, workers’ compensation info) Ensure accuracy of demographics, insurance, and registration information Provide excellent customer service to patients, providers, staff, and external offices Support training, cross‑training, supervision, and special assignments from the practice manager Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced setting What do you need to be an Scheduling Coordinator II? High school diploma or equivalent (required) Minimum 2 years of office experience; healthcare office experience preferred Associate’s degree in a healthcare field with 3–5 years of experience (preferred) Strong communication, customer‑service, and multitasking skills Ability to work with confidential information and adapt to changing needs or locations Comfort with EMR systems, scheduling software, and general office technology PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The position is located indoors under normal working conditions. Should be able to push/pull 25 lb., lift/move 15 lb. from floor to table, be able to perform moderately difficult manual manipulations such as using a keyboard, writing and filing, must be able to perform tasks which require hand-eye coordination such as data entry, typing and using photo copiers. Mobility requirements may include the ability to sit at a computer terminal or work station for a prolonged period of time in addition to being able to squat, stand and walk for a reasonable length of time and distance. Sensory requirements include the ability to articulate and comprehend the spoken English language in addition to being able to read the English language. Salary Range: $17.46-$25.32 /hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
