About The Position

An exciting opportunity to join a large, well-established utility company as a Scheduling Assistant. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient scheduling operations and exceptional customer communication. You'll serve as a central point of contact for customer inquiries and support schedulers through the entire job scheduling process.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Experience in customer service required
  • Comfortable using scheduling systems and digital platforms
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask effectively

  • Prior experience in scheduling or administrative support is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main contact for all incoming customer calls and emails
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns directly or delegate as needed
  • Log all customer interactions and compile weekly reporting
  • Proactively reach out to customers to support scheduling processes
  • Clearly communicate pre-job requirements (e.g., inspection deadlines, physical site readiness, meter account setup)
  • Schedule and confirm customer appointments, send reminders, and maintain communication logs
  • Assist with creating and organizing work packets
  • Process bundled job cards
  • Verify and remove job holds
  • Create IVR (Interactive Voice Response) appointments
  • Support work order close-outs
  • Schedule temporary disconnects
  • Investigate property damage claims and coordinate scheduling when company liability is confirmed
