The Scheduler will be the first point of contact for all patients, providing a consistent superior customer service experience in accordance with the Center's mission and vision. This position involves demonstrating excellent customer service techniques, meeting and greeting patients, answering patient calls, identifying and clarifying patients' needs and desires, confirming patient's identity and eligibility, obtaining required signatures from patients, scheduling appointments, and answering patient's questions. The role also supports center operations by checking in patients at the front desk, acting as an advocate/liaison for patients and the Health Center, answering telephones promptly and professionally, using sound judgment in handling calls (especially with upset patients and knowing when to escalate), maintaining delegated worklists through the electronic medical record, ensuring effective, efficient, and safe use of equipment, handling patient requests, providing benefit plan and eligibility information, adhering to policies and procedures, and performing duties as a care coordinator when assigned.
