About The Position

Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute is dedicated to treating cancer by investing in the health and well-being of patients throughout treatment and beyond. The team pursues advanced, innovative, and cost-effective treatment options to provide personalized, custom care. This position, under direct supervision, assists physicians and clinicians with patient care duties in a gynecologic oncology medical environment. The role involves maintaining efficient patient flow, assisting with patient care including exams, procedures, and patient education, and performing miscellaneous clinic support tasks such as filing, answering phones, and managing physician schedules. The incumbent is also expected to support and adhere to the Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of one to two years of experience in a medical office setting
  • Certificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants required

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of in-patient and out-patient hospital procedures highly desirable
  • Experience in scheduling medical procedures
  • Knowledge of insurance with regards to authorization and/or pre-certification or medical procedures preferred
