Alumni Auditions are for INVITED SCARE SQUAD ALUMNI ONLY. If you did not receive an email invitation, please visit our auditions or careers page to apply for a general audition. Invited Scare Squad Alumni should follow the emailed instructions to register for Alumni Auditions, including completing this application and all registration forms and sign-ups. Current Busch Gardens or Water Country USA Ambassadors must audition on 7/23/26 or 7/25/26 and are therefore ineligible to audition at Alumni Auditions. Please apply internally for these dates, accessed via “Career Opportunities” on SEA Port. Howl-O-Scream 2026 runs Friday, September 11th - Sunday, November 1st. What you get to do: Be a part of award-winning Scare-event performances and provide a top-notch quality scare product to our seasoned guests and first-time visitors. Limited opportunities to participate in employee-only events such as ride nights & special event previews. Enjoy employee discounts and complimentary tickets to all United Parks and Resorts (except Discovery Cove). Explore opportunities for leadership roles (i.e. Captain). Make lifelong friendships and join a legendary Entertainment Family.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old
• Our performers entertain our guests in various ways, including but not limited to actors, costumed characters or specialty talent (such as stilt-walking and bungee harness)
• Must attend a live audition
• We are looking for outgoing performers who can tell a story through their performance
• Must have great showmanship
• Roles may be based on characteristics such as height, physical type, gender, and any other attribute that aligns with the creative vision for our Howl-O-Scream characters
• Be a team player and have a positive attitude
• Participate in all physical and vocal warmups and cool downs
• Ability to stand, sit, kneel, crawl, lay down, and/or jump up repeatedly for duration of shift
• Flexibility in schedule and availability for the duration of the event
• Must be able to work long sets (multiple hours) doing repetitive movement and vocalizations
• Must be able to wear make-up and/or masks
• Must be comfortable working in dark conditions, extreme temperatures, and around theatrical effects such as stage fog, lighting effects, and sound effects
• Experience is not required, just a passion for Halloween!
