About The Position

LeMay, a Waste Connections Company, is looking for a Scale Attendant to join the team at our location in Aberdeen, WA . The schedule for this position will be Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm. Starting pay will be $19.50 per hour with yearly pay raises. Waste Connections is an equal opportunity employer. Requirements

Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
2 years of Customer Service experience.
Typing and 10-key skills are required.
Excellent organization and communication skills.
Ability to analyze and solve problems.
Gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
Ability to multi-task
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds

Nice To Haves

Ability to speak Spanish is preferred but not required.
Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Email preferred

Responsibilities

Solicit sale of new or additional services.
Greet and direct all customers and employees upon entry of the transfer station as a cashier
Responsible for balancing out a cash drawer and reconciling a Credit Card Machine.
Weighing trucks in and out and calculating payments for customers.
Track weight information from scale to computer system and get appropriate signatures.
Ensuring that incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material.
Work on your feet outside throughout your shift
Providing general upkeep of the Scale House.
