About The Position

Saw Catcher Role Description: This role will be responsible for stacking and marking truss components as they come out of the saw. The wood truss components will be stacked in a specified manner and order, usually on rolling carts that will be sent out to the production floor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Mark cut pieces of wood as they exit the saw, either with printed labels or manually labeling with specified job information.  Keep work area neat, clean, free from any possible hazards or debris.  Assist table personnel in finding components or re-cutting materials as necessary.  Always adhere to company safety procedures, wearing required PPE while in plant area.  Operate in all facets with a high degree of customer service and attentiveness to other truss team members.  Work in open warehouse atmosphere with conditions similar to outdoors.  Any other tasks or projects as assigned by management Skills Needed:  High school diploma or general education degree (GED)  Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.  Good customer service skills Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Regularly required to walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and to talk or hear. Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
Good customer service skills
