Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and entering senior year, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Engineering, Environmental Science or a related field.
  • Available to work full time (40 hours per week) during defined intern program dates (June-August).
  • Position is hybrid 3 days onsite in the corporate office in Wall, NJ, 2 days remote as assigned.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for student visas.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in data analytics and programming is preferred.
  • Policy experience and knowledge of government institutions is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of NJNG’s Evaluation, Measurement & Verification (EM&V) plans.
  • Review monthly project data and automate data checks and reporting process.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and provide constructive feedback on research plans, study materials, draft reports, and other technical documents.
  • Serve as primary reviewer for proposed changes to statewide protocols for energy savings, including researching comparisons to technical resource manuals in other jurisdictions and leading internal efforts to develop company positions and written responses.
  • Monitor NJNG’s performance on established on Quantitative Performance Indicators and other key metrics, including highlighting potential areas of concern/need for corrective action with management.
  • Participate in national and regional organizations and conferences and review industry studies to understand emerging trends and innovative approaches to EM&V.
  • Support the development of NJNG’s energy efficiency program filings, including serving as the lead for responding to all EM&V related data requests.
