About The Position

Join Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) as a SASE Presales Systems Engineer and play a key role in shaping secure, cutting-edge solutions for our customers. This is a technical pre-sales position focused on HPE’s cybersecurity portfolio, including SASE and SSE architectures.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in technical pre-sales or solution engineering (cybersecurity, networking, or cloud).
  • Hands-on experience with SASE/SSE architecture and Zero Trust models.
  • Strong knowledge of security technologies (Firewalls, IPSEC, SSL-VPN, NAT, GRE, IPS/IDS).
  • Familiarity with identity and access standards (SSO, SAML, OAuth, OIDC, RBAC).
  • Proficiency in networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTP/S, OSPF, BGP).
  • Experience with CLI on major routing/switching platforms and WAN edge technologies.
  • Practical knowledge of AWS, Azure, GCP, and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to simplify complex technical topics.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications: CCNP, CISSP, AWS/Azure/GCP.
  • Experience with OpenTelemetry and advanced observability tools.
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical discovery, solution design, and architecture workshops.
  • Deliver impactful demos and proof-of-concepts for SASE (SD-WAN, ZTNA, SWG, CASB, FWaaS) and SSE use cases.
  • Guide customers through observability and threat detection integrations (SIEM, SOAR, XDR, OpenTelemetry).
  • Engage CISOs, security architects, and compliance stakeholders in strategic discussions.
  • Respond to RFPs/RFIs with high-quality technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to provide roadmap feedback.
  • Present confidently to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure successful deal outcomes.
  • Flexibility to accommodate customer schedules, including occasional evenings or weekends.
