About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized experienced Sanitation Supervisor to oversee the cleanliness and sanitation protocols within our large-scale food production facility in Tyrone, PA . The Sanitation Supervisor will play a critical role in maintaining compliance with food safety standards and ensuring a hygienic environment for our operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in sanitation or related field within a food production environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
  • In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food safety regulations, and chemical handling procedures.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.

Nice To Haves

  • HACCP Certified and Food Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Micro knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervision and Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of sanitation workers, including scheduling, training, and performance management. Ensure all sanitation activities are conducted efficiently and according to established procedures.
  • Sanitation Compliance: Implement and enforce sanitation and hygiene policies, procedures, and regulations as per industry standards (e.g., USDA). Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Cleaning Operations: Coordinate and oversee the cleaning of production equipment, machinery, and facilities to prevent contamination and maintain product integrity. Maintain sanitation schedules to ensure all areas are cleaned on a regular basis.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities, including cleaning schedules, inspection reports, and corrective actions taken. Prepare and submit reports on sanitation performance and compliance to management.
  • Training and Development: Train sanitation staff on proper cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and safety protocols. Conduct regular training sessions to ensure staff competence and adherence to sanitation standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement in sanitation practices and efficiency.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to sanitation emergencies, such as spills or contamination incidents, and implement corrective actions.
