We are seeking a highly organized experienced Sanitation Supervisor to oversee the cleanliness and sanitation protocols within our large-scale food production facility in Tyrone, PA . The Sanitation Supervisor will play a critical role in maintaining compliance with food safety standards and ensuring a hygienic environment for our operations. Responsibilities: Supervision and Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of sanitation workers, including scheduling, training, and performance management. Ensure all sanitation activities are conducted efficiently and according to established procedures. Sanitation Compliance: Implement and enforce sanitation and hygiene policies, procedures, and regulations as per industry standards (e.g., USDA). Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance and identify areas for improvement. Cleaning Operations: Coordinate and oversee the cleaning of production equipment, machinery, and facilities to prevent contamination and maintain product integrity. Maintain sanitation schedules to ensure all areas are cleaned on a regular basis. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities, including cleaning schedules, inspection reports, and corrective actions taken. Prepare and submit reports on sanitation performance and compliance to management. Training and Development: Train sanitation staff on proper cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and safety protocols. Conduct regular training sessions to ensure staff competence and adherence to sanitation standards. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement in sanitation practices and efficiency. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to sanitation emergencies, such as spills or contamination incidents, and implement corrective actions. Qualifications: Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in sanitation or related field within a food production environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role. In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food safety regulations, and chemical handling procedures. HACCP Certified and Food Manufacturing experience preferred. Micro knowledge is a plus.
