About The Position

The Sanitation Supervisor directs and coordinates activities of the sanitation department in keeping the production equipment and facilities in a clean and orderly condition by performing sanitation and building custodian/janitorial duties as directed. Hours: 8:00 pm until 4:30 am Schedule: Sunday through Thursday

Requirements

  • Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to read and understand English.
  • Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior supervisory experience required.
  • Prior sanitation/janitorial operations experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Records SSOPs performed and ensures department is following sanitation schedule.
  • Assists workers with SSOPs and provides guidance when needed.
  • Maintains employee time and sanitation records.
  • Orders chemicals and supplies as needed for department.
  • Clean and sanitizes all production equipment in compliance with FDA, HACCP, and other applicable regulations and documents such.
  • Supervises the activities of the sanitation staff, including building custodian.
  • Notifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
