Come grow with us! This shift would run Thursday-Sunday; 6am to 4:30pm. Scope: The Sanitation Specialist keeps buildings in clean and orderly condition. Performs infrastructure heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning overheads (i.e. lights, piping, rafters), cleaning walls, floor scrubbing, chemical handling, and vacuuming. Duties will include operating at heights while using a scissor lift, ladders, and/or a boom lift. Establish proficiency with cleaning skills in accordance with MSS (Master Sanitation Schedule).

Responsibilities

  • Promotes safety and conducts him/her in accordance with all safety guidelines at all times
  • Performs deep cleaning in specific areas of the plant (overheads, walls, roll up doors, and other infrastructure areas) in accordance with the MSS (Master Sanitation Schedule)
  • Operate ladders, scissor lifts, and boom lifts
  • Moving materials, loading equipment, and cleaning the job site. Load, unload, move, locate, relocate and/or stack merchandise in a safe, accurate, and orderly manner using a pick or other power equipment.
  • Maintain equipment by cleaning, oiling, recharging, refueling, etc.
  • Consult and coordinate with supervisor, employees, other departments, and equipment manufacturers regarding loading and unloading operations
  • Must stand firmly on the floor of the basket, and shall not sit or climb on the edge of the basket or use planks, ladders, or other devices for a work position. A body belt shall be worn and a lanyard attached to the boom or basket when working from an aerial lift.
  • Able to work at heights for long periods of time
  • Use brushes, wipes, scrapers, and cleaning solutions to wipe down building surfaces (overheads, lights, walls, doors)
  • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
  • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
  • Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors, using cleaners, sponges, or squeegees
  • Pick up and discard litter on the outside grounds
  • Dump trash into the trash compactors and bale cardboard
  • Inspect and verify work to ensure areas are clean
  • Fill out paperwork either on paper or within MegaMation (computer or iPad) to show completion of activities
  • All other duties as assigned
