Direct supervision of assigned personnel within the Sanitation Department in Public Works. Direct supervision to include the ability to manage schedules, performance, and interpersonal issues of department employees. It may involve the ability to recommend changes to work priorities or strategies within the department. With a small, dynamic team, the Sanitation Services Superintendent will have the opportunity to foster a close-knit, agile work environment that adapts quickly to challenges. By addressing immediate operational issues while maintaining a focus on long-term goals, this leader can ensure the department’s continued resilience and success. Facing both immediate challenges and the need for sustainable growth, the Superintendent will play a pivotal role in ensuring the department's long-term success. This includes developing creative solutions to environmental issues and providing strategic direction and execution to ensure the next generation inherits reliable service and a well-aesthetically maintained city.
