About The Position

We have an exciting general supervisor of sanitation services opportunity in our Guymon, Oklahoma, processing facility. In this highly impactful role, you will be a general supervisor of the sanitation services department, which is responsible for the cleaning and sanitizing activities on the harvest or fabrication production floors.  This position provides daily oversight and direction to a team of fifty (50) sanitation technicians who are responsible for the implementation and execution of all cleaning and sanitation activities to ensure the plant is cleaned and sanitized and maintains a high standard of cleanliness according to the Company’s and USDA’s standards. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, environmental health, public health, or a related field. Equivalent work experience in industrial sanitation in a food manufacturing facility will be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of sanitation regulations, including those specific to the protein industry.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with sanitation management software and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures an adequate inventory of sanitation supplies, equipment, and chemicals are available to clean and sanitize the facility to the required level.
  • Provide direction and management to the sanitation team, including training, performance evaluation, and coaching, to ensure a high level of performance and adherence to sanitation protocols.
  • Provides oversight and follow-up to maintain accurate documentation and records related to sanitation activities, including cleaning schedules, inspection reports, training records, and regulatory compliance documents.
  • Stays current and up to date of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in sanitation management.
  • Ensure team members adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs, maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure that product quality is not impacted by the activities of the sanitation services department.
  • Informs senior management of any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
