About The Position

As a Sanitation Lead, you are responsible for leading our sanitation team across key operational areas of our facility and will play a hands-on role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency throughout the facility, in accordance with all Food Safety and Sanitation guidelines.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience as a team lead or related role working in, but not limited to, a restaurant, hotel, or large facility environment
  • 6+ months of experience using technology such as smart phones and tablets, inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Ability to follow safety protocol and PPE requirements
  • Ability to operate sanitation equipment preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in team environments
  • Ability to work in a quick-paced and ever-changing environment
  • 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the US
  • Comfortable working in various temperatures including cold environment (34-40 degrees Fahrenheit) and occasional freezer temperatures that can range anywhere from 0-10 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Able to lift, pull, and push 50 pounds of weight by oneself
  • Able to stand a full shift while working
  • Ability to communicate effectively as needed to carry out job functions, including reading, writing and basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
  • Able to work evenings and weekends

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to operate sanitation equipment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead a small team of Sanitation associates across various areas of the facility, including, but not limited to, Kitchens, Production, and Warewash
  • Plan, assign, and prioritize daily sanitation tasks for staff
  • Motivate associates to consistently follow sanitation procedures and schedules
  • Perform and oversee hands-on cleaning and sanitizing, including dishwashing with 3-bay sinks and commercial dish machines
  • Ensure thorough cleaning and sanitation of all facility and common areas, including warehouse and facility spaces, offices, restrooms, breakrooms, equipment, walls, furniture, countertops, and exterior grounds as required
  • Operate and monitor sanitation equipment such as floor scrubbers and cleaning machines in the warehouse space
  • Comply with health and sanitation procedures and support overall cleanliness and maintenance of the workplace
  • Conduct routine checks to verify sanitation quality and address issues immediately
  • Maintain proper garbage removal throughout operational hours and at the end of the shift
  • Enforce personal protective equipment (PPE) usage in accordance with food safety and company standards
  • Support training initiatives
  • Complete other duties as assigned
