The SAN Storage Systems Administrator must be able to meet the key criteria below: Location: Must be able to be onsite in Melbourne, FL Years’ Experience: 7+ years professional experience Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT related field Security Clearance: IBR is a federal contractor. Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance issued by the NOAA agency. This agency handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. NOTE: United States Citizenship is required as part of the eligibility criteria to be able to obtain this type of security clearance. As a SAN Storage Systems Administrator, you will bring your development engineering background to a space ground/satellite environment where you can make a broad impact to engineering projects that are critical to our customers. This position will be responsible for providing Software Engineering support for spectral systems and associated subsystems across programs in the Space and Airborne Systems Segment. The ideal candidate will also provide technical leadership in a broad field of engineering, research, evaluation, and development for highly complex technical space-based and airborne aerospace products.

Requirements

  • 7 years of information systems experience and in-depth system administration of Storage (SAN) and Backup technology
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust security clearance
  • Bachelor Degree in IT related field required
  • Must have Storage Area Network (SAN) experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux and Unix operating systems required
  • Experience monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of storage systems
  • Programming skills including Bash, Python key, Ansible automation
  • Experience with working with Storage equipment/SANs/filesystems or the willingness to learn in these areas
  • Basic networking skills preferred (Fibre Channel)

Nice To Haves

  • 4+ years experience related to engineering on ground/satellite systems preferred
  • Knowledge of Red Hat Satellite Server, Ansible Automation Platform, and/or GitLab preferred
  • Cloud Storage experience
  • Tape backup knowledge or willingness to learn

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain storage systems including monitoring, troubleshooting, debugging, and optimization.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with unavailable or outdated components, ensuring continued product support and production.
  • Participate in planning and infrastructure assessments.
  • Collaborate to ensure integration of storage and other infrastructure services such as networking, and database.
  • Ensure security and compliance standards are met.
  • Support subsystem and system level testing including data reviews, anomaly investigations and RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) closure
  • Resolves escalated customer issues.
  • Assists with datacenter deployments.
  • Conducts proactive reviews of SAN and Backup environments.
  • Develops process and procedure improvements.
  • Provides cross- functional support with peers and support internal teams.
  • Create and maintain reports for managing and tracking prod QA.
