About The Position
The Storage Administrator is a key member of the infrastructure team, responsible for the day-to-day operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of enterprise-grade storage and backup solutions. This role is designed for a developing professional who possesses a solid foundation in SAN/NAS technologies and is eager to scale their expertise in a high-performance environment. You will work closely with Senior Engineers to provision storage, ensure data integrity, and manage the lifecycle of multi-vendor storage arrays and backup libraries. Responsibilities
- Perform routine storage provisioning (LUN creation, masking, zoning) and filesystem management (exports/shares).
- Conduct daily health checks across storage arrays and backup environments to identify and remediate potential hardware or performance issues.
- Function as the first point of contact for storage-related performance bottlenecks, connectivity issues, and backup failures.
- Monitor and manage scheduled backup jobs; assist with data restoration requests and tape library management.
- Maintain accurate records of storage allocations, rack diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Actively participate in vendor training and cross-training sessions to master new storage platforms and emerging data technologies.
