Position Summary: Responsible for the execution of routine and non-routine warehouse and salvage activities. Duties include projects related to a variety of warehouse activities including, inventory control, space management, logistics of product distribution and day to day operations. The position is hands on warehouse work.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Exceptional analytical, judgment, decision-making and communications skills
  • Superior coaching, leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build understanding and concensus
  • Ability to read and interpret hard data and metrics.
  • Ability to write creatively and articulately with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and average. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra when working on spreadsheets. Ability to create and manage departmental budget.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of Salvage Supervisor.
  • Forklift certification will be required.
  • Self-motivated; resourceful, creative; high integrity; problem solver; looks to resolve issues; positive can-do approach; and ability to build effective working relationships.

Responsibilities

  • When scheduled this person is responsible for opening or closing the store which includes access to the safe and alarms.
  • Maintains an environment that fosters exceptional customer service to external as well as internal customers
  • Keeps an organized, clean facility that excels in the storage and distribution of customer inventories
  • Promotes a safe work environment for all employees insuring warehouse/salvage operations are in compliance with agency safety programs
  • Plan and organize time and resources efficiently
  • Promotes productivity by following up with employees on assigned tasks
  • Insure all staff within the facility are safety trained and certified where necessary
  • Assist in monitoring Outlet and Salvage employees
