About The Position

The Salesforce Administrator, Philanthropy Systems at Beth Israel Lahey health (BILH) is responsible for the administration and optimization of the Salesforce platform and related Philanthropy technology tools, including the Kindsight ascend CRM. This role ensures the stability, security, and scalability of these technology environments while supporting business processes through automation, integrations, reporting, and user enablement. The Administrator collaborates with IT and Philanthropy stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions, maintain system documentation, and enhance platform capabilities through the evaluation and adoption of new tools and features. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Salesforce Administrator certification required or equivalent experience.
Strong working knowledge of CRM systems, reporting solutions, online databases, and office productivity tools.
At least 2–3 years of hands-on experience administering Salesforce, including configuration, user management, automation, reporting, and sandbox management.
Experience with Salesforce administration tools, including change sets/deployment tools, data import/export, security setup, workflow rules, process builder, and automation jobs.
Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data modeling, and integration best practices.
Strong ability to analyze system and business process requirements, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.
Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams, providing user support and training, and documenting systems and processes.
Knowledge of Salesforce updates, best practices, integrations, and security standards; ability to evaluate new tools and features to enhance business capabilities.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with stakeholders from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds.
Demonstrated ability to exercise tact, sound judgement, diplomacy, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Motivated and adaptable team player, capable of working independently and collaboratively within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Design, configure, and enhance the Salesforce platform using declarative tools to ensure scalability, maintainability, and long-term extensibility.
Manage Salesforce user security, SSO, email groups, system configurations, and change sets between development, test, and production environments.
Plan, execute, and manage production (and sandbox) deployments, coordinating quality assurance validation, release documentation, and change management controls.
Perform optimization, backup, and recovery of Salesforce production and sandbox environments, ensuring system stability, performance, and data protection.
Design, configure, and manage batch/automation jobs and scheduling for Salesforce and related Philanthropy technology tools.
Assist with the implementation of custom solutions to extend platform capabilities where declarative approaches are insufficient.
Support the development of custom integrations leveraging Salesforce APIs (REST/SOAP/Bulk), middleware platforms, and external data systems.
Provide strategic guidance on Salesforce platform capabilities, roadmap, and governance. Own and maintain authoritative documentation for supported applications, system integrations, and core business processes to ensure consistency, scalability, and operational clarity.
Monitor Philanthropy technology platforms updates (including Salesforce and existing vendors) and broader industry trends, evaluating and recommending tools and features that enhance business capabilities and drive value.
Partner with BILH IT teams to lead the implementation and ongoing management of database and reporting tools.
Independently plan, lead, and execute medium, moderately complex projects, ensuring milestones, deliverables, and outcomes align with broader institutional strategies and priorities.
Work directly with Philanthropy teams to assess technology needs and deliver ongoing support and training.
