About The Position

This role is designed to drive the development and execution of comprehensive sales training programs that empower field sales teams to perform at their highest potential. The Sales Training Manager will collaborate closely with sales leadership, marketing, and cross-functional teams to deliver onboarding, skill development, and ongoing training initiatives that align with commercial priorities and strategic goals. This position emphasizes instructional design, curriculum development, and the integration of business tools and processes to enhance sales performance. You will work in a dynamic, remote-friendly environment, creating programs that foster collaboration, continuous learning, and measurable impact across the sales organization. Travel will be required to support field engagement, training events, and workshops. This role provides an opportunity to influence field readiness, optimize training strategies, and support the professional growth of sales professionals nationwide.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of successful sales experience in the medical field, including hospital or surgical case support and contract negotiations.
  • 3+ years of experience designing and implementing sales training programs or experience as a compensated field sales trainer.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and professional medical content development.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, self-motivated, and highly organized.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, GPS360, or Articulate.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 30-50%.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Urology/Urogynecology preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deliver, and continuously improve onboarding and ongoing sales training programs to enhance readiness, confidence, and performance.
  • Develop and implement training content across diverse modalities, including virtual instructor-led training, eLearning, microlearning, simulations, and scenario-based practice.
  • Define learning pathways, competency-based progression, and learning objectives aligned with commercial strategy and field competencies.
  • Collaborate with Sales Leadership, Marketing, and Field Sales Trainers to integrate product updates, competitive insights, and sales process improvements into training programs.
  • Plan and coordinate logistics for training sessions, meetings, and workshops, ensuring materials, technology, and resources are in place for seamless execution.
  • Conduct field observations, identify skill gaps, provide actionable feedback, and reinforce best practices to ensure consistent high-quality sales execution.
  • Manage budgets for training initiatives while optimizing resources to maximize training impact.
  • Utilize sales enablement platforms to assign coursework, track progress, administer assessments, and measure competency outcomes.
