About The Position

The Truist Securities CIB Summer Analyst Program will run for approximately 10 weeks in the summer months. The Summer Analyst Program will consist of: Activities: Networking socials, case studies and presentations, team-building projects Executive Speaker Series: CEO, Truist Securities Senior Leaders, among others Community Service: Opportunities to participate in various volunteer initiatives are provided and involvement is strongly encouraged The opportunity to interact with other groups and disciplines throughout the investment bank. Competitive Summer Analysts will be eligible to receive an offer to return in full time positions as part of our Analyst program upon graduation. The Summer Analyst program provides the opportunity to gain exposure to a number of disciplines within Sales, Trading & Research. Assignments will be with one of our Sales, Trading & Research groups listed below, with the opportunity to interact with other groups and disciplines throughout the investment bank. Within each group, Summer Analysts play a meaningful role in supporting internal and external clients. High Yield Credit Sales & Trading Sales: Cultivate relationships with institutional investors/buy-side clients in order to distribute primary and secondary corporate bonds. Trading: The Credit Trading desk makes a secondary market in, and stands ready to purchase and sell, corporate bonds for Truist Securities fixed income investor clients and support our bond origination and syndication business. Summer analyst will work closely with traders and research analysts to support the trading desk. Additional duties include (but are not limited to): Security valuation, financial modeling, statistical analysis, research, programming (Python) and presentation development. Working closely with internal groups to ensure the trading desk runs smoothly as well as assisting with all aspect of position monitoring/reporting. Learning the business, developing an understanding of the markets and displaying proficiency in daily trading tasks in order to progress to a risk-taking capacity. Learning all aspects of trade execution and inquiry, operations management, P&L reconciliation and daily reporting. Location: Truist Securities is headquartered in Atlanta, GA, with offices throughout the U.S. in cities including Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, Orlando, New York, San Francisco, and Washington D.C. This role is specifically for our New York office. The starting hourly wage for this position is $48.

Requirements

  • Final graduation with a BA/BS degree December 2027 or June 2028
  • Proven analytical ability and attention to detail
  • Solid leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

  • All regular teammates (not temporary or contingent workers) working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, though eligibility for specific benefits may be determined by the division of Truist offering the position.
