Sales Tax Account Manager
About The Position

As a Sales Tax Account Manager at Squire, you will play a key role in helping businesses meet their sales and use tax obligations while delivering exceptional client service. We are seeking a meticulous and motivated professional to support clients in managing monthly sales tax compliance. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a desire to grow within sales tax compliance and account management.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred (sales tax experience valued for unrelated degrees)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numerical data.
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to follow processes and directions effectively.
- Works independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Skilled in managing multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
- Consistently meets deadlines with high-quality, accurate work.
- Effectively prioritizes and addresses critical matters promptly.

- Strong time management skills to meet frequent deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with accounting software is a plus.
- Related experience is a plus, training is provided.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns accurately and timely
- Learn and apply standard processes for managing registrations, filings, and tax notices
- Respond to client inquiries regarding sales tax matters promptly and professionally
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate record keeping and reporting
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, clients, and third-party software partners
- Develop familiarity with sales tax nexus rules across industries (primarily direct selling and ecommerce)
- Support various sales tax client service and compliance activities
