About The Position

We’re hiring a Sales Support Specialist to work alongside our Sales Engineers and help drive orders from quote to delivery. This role goes beyond basic order entry. You’ll be responsible for handling the details that keep orders moving - including pricing, vendor coordination, order processing, and follow-through with both customers and suppliers. If you’re organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving, technical environment, this role is a critical part of how our business runs. With 36 locations across 16 states, Tencarva provides end-to-end, whole-system solutions for over 18,000 active customers across many verticals, including industrial, municipal water/wastewater, power generation, oil/gas, mining/aggregates, and automotive. Our service offerings include system analysis and design, applications engineering, custom fabrication of equipment packages, automation and controls, equipment repair, and thermal hard coatings. tencarva.com The Role You will work closely with Sales Engineers to support the order lifecycle - from initial quote support through order entry, vendor coordination, pricing, purchasing, and delivery. Along the way, you’ll also be in constant contact with suppliers, customers, and internal teams, ensuring orders are accurate, on-time, and executed properly. Success in this role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple moving pieces without letting things fall through the cracks.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities at once (organization and effective process/project management)
  • Comfortable working in ERP systems and managing transactional workflows
  • Clear and professional communication with both customers and suppliers
  • Ability to follow through and close loops - not just start tasks
  • Experience in inside sales, purchasing, pricing, and order management
  • Experience in industrial, technical, or B2B environments is strongly preferred
  • Experience working with vendors and managing supplier relationships
  • Exposure to industrial equipment (pumps, valves, process equipment, etc.) is a major plus

Responsibilities

  • Support Sales Engineers by managing quotes, orders, and customer follow-up
  • Obtain pricing from suppliers and prepare customer quotations
  • Enter and manage orders within the ERP system
  • Review vendor acknowledgments for accuracy, pricing, and delivery timelines
  • Coordinate with suppliers, internal teams, and customers to ensure timely execution
  • Track orders through fulfillment and proactively follow up on delays or issues
  • Maintain accurate records including pricing, customer data, and order details
  • Support inventory coordination and basic purchasing activities
  • Process returns (RMAs) and ensure proper resolution
  • Assist with documentation including proposals, order confirmations, and contracts
  • Communicate clearly with customers and vendors to keep orders moving
