Sales Support and Market Analyst Intern Overview Lumentum’s Cloud and Networking sales group is looking for a dynamic and self-motivated individual to join us in our 12-week paid summer 2026 internship program. Our team sells a wide variety of optical and photonic products to an exciting variety of customers and applications. Key focus customers include hyperscalers and ecosystem partners. We are continually in pursuit of opportunities that result in long-term growth and revenue from customers, markets, and relationships. Responsibilities The Sales Support and Market Analyst Intern’s responsibilities would include but not be limited to the following: • Provide actionable overall market and customer insights to address key strategic questions. • Analyze external and internal customer data using database queries, spreadsheet models, and statistical analysis tools. • Collect and compile information around competitive positioning of Lumentum’s offering • Support creation of account plans on large accounts • Support Account and Sales managers with customer inquiries and follow up activities • Create PowerPoint presentations to provide market and customer insights • Perform valid and reliable market research SWOT analysis • Interpret data, formulate reports and make recommendations • Identify trendsetter ideas by researching industry websites, publications, and announcements. • Examine potential risks for business opportunities Minimum Qualifications • Qualified candidates will be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Engineering, Business, Management or a related major. Desired Qualifications • Strong communications, initiative, and teamwork • Strong experience using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint • Experience with CRM software • Ability to deliver presentations • Proficiency with data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting • Proven ability to plan and manage resources Pay Range: $23.75 - 54.30/hour USD All offers of employment are subject to background checks, appropriate work authorizations, and depending on country, drug screens may be required prior to start date.
