About The Position

The Sales Strategy & Operations Manager partners with Sales and Production leadership to support operational efficiency, data analysis, and process improvement. This role combines data analysis with cross-functional collaboration to identify trends, address issues, and implement solutions that improve sales performance and efficiency. The Sales Strategy & Operations Manager will focus on monitoring KPIs, developing data-driven recommendations, and overseeing projects that enhance operational efficiency. This role serves as a subject matter expert on sales tools and processes, participates in partnership discussions, and ensures alignment between operational activities and business goals. The Sales Strategy & Operations Manager also provides insight to Operations Analyst and coordinator, ensuring accountability and adherence to established processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a business-related discipline
  • Minimum of 4+ years related experience required, preferably in customer-facing Sales Ops or Customer Service
  • Supervisory or lead experience in Sales Ops, Customer Service, or other Sales focused position, preferred
  • Ability to adhere to and exhibit the Company Values at all times
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce or relative CRM systems
  • Working knowledge of document management systems
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities and/or projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills - both oral and written

Responsibilities

  • Develops and mentors the sales operations team, ensuring they have the skills and tools necessary to succeed
  • Establishes work processes, documentation, best practices, and related sales ops delivery systems
  • Interviews and hires Sales Operations Analysts and Coordinators, or develops and promotes from within
  • Provides onboarding and training for Sales Operations Analysts and Coordinators
  • Establishes, oversees, and maintains performance measures and metrics for the Sales Operations Analyst and Coordinator team and provides regular updates to leaders
  • Assigns work, oversees desk loads, and assures delivery/completion
  • Mentors, coaches and develops Sales Operations Analysts and Coordinators for development and career growth, inclusive of overseeing Professional Development Plans and formal Career Paths
  • Implements and monitors client and internal communication standards for team
  • Conducts annual Performance Evaluations on staff, setting annual goals aligned to Sales Operations scorecard goals
  • Conducts corrective coaching or progressive discipline, as needed, with HR’s assistance
  • Leads system adoption and training for the Sales Operations Analyst and Coordinator teams, ensuring tools are fully leveraged to support operational efficiency.
  • Facilitates collaboration between multiple departments including but not limited to production, marketing, accounting operations, and product teams to align operations with business goals.
  • Influences and collaborates with cross-functional teams to create best practices that drive significant changes to the customer experience and end-to-end process.
  • Analyzes sales operations performance data, reports on KPIs, and provides insights to improve production and operations teams’ productivity.
  • Engages stakeholders across departments to align sales operations with broader company objectives.
  • Works with Product Owners and the Digital Adoption Lead to execute improvement initiatives
  • Oversees company-wide sales operations, influencing broader sales processes and strategy.
  • Provides business requirements, user feedback, and testing support during the implementation of new product tools or system upgrades.
  • Oversees and optimizes the use of CRM and internal products.
  • Builds and maintains dashboards and reports to track key metrics for productivity and success of production and operation teams.
  • Identifies inefficiencies in processes and implement improvements across production and operations teams.
  • Evaluates regularly, and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement of practices, operations, systems, technology, scalability, or SOPs for CES (internal and external)
  • Synchronizes process improvement timing with strategic initiatives and product roadmap
  • Confers with leadership and scales operations to match the needs of the team
  • Shares best practices in sales operations, helping optimize tools and processes for the entire organization.
  • Handles generalized sales operations tasks including but not limited to CRM management, performance tracking, and cross-team operations.
  • Manages and maintains project documentation, reports, and records.
  • Standardizes and enforces documentation protocols for production and operation teams
  • Tracks and analyzes operational KPIs including SLA performance, Coordinator productivity, and system accuracy.
  • Conducts root cause analysis to identify recurring issues and design sustainable, long-term solutions.
  • Develops and implements process automation opportunities to increase accuracy and reduce manual intervention.
