About The Position

We are currently looking for a Sales Specialist within our Forged Products business unit. As a Sales Specialist you will report to a Sales Manager and play an integral role in our continued success and in driving strategic growth and helping ensure we are meeting ATI and customer goals and objectives. A successful Sales Specialist is a critical thinker, detail oriented, and is able to support customer inquiries and requests in a timely and appropriate manner. In order to become successful, you will have to quickly learn ATI, our products, and build strong relationships with customers and internal cross-functional teams including, production, planning, supply chain and other key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or technical related field
  • Must possess a valid passport or be able to obtain one.
  • Effective oral and written presentation skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including, internal and external stakeholders
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze and resolve difficult problems effectively and implement long term solutions
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to travel
  • Read Customer Prints
  • Strong attention to detail and project management skills

Nice To Haves

  • At least four years of experience in metal products sales preferable in forging or casting fields.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Production Planning to review weekly line of balance to customers for weekly status reports or part issues escalation for review.
  • Address customer complaints to assure prompt resolution and desired customer relations.
  • Participate in, and eventually help to lead, customer contact via plant visits, offsite discussions, customer review calls.
  • Coordinate submissions by the Quality Department for customer review of non-conforming materials to assure compliance to contractual requirements procedure and assist Quality Department in obtaining timely resolution.
  • Resolve payment discrepancies with customers as needed.
  • Executing strategic initiatives and developing new customers
  • Initiating quotation proposals and negotiating to obtain orders
  • Providing sales forecasts and reporting sales activity
  • Maintaining and strengthening customer relationships
  • Making sales calls and generating new business
  • Interfacing closely with the Engineering Design, Technical, Production Planning and Operations teams in the Operating facilities
  • Ensuring overall customer satisfaction
