About The Position

The Sales Specialist Neuro Orthotics position is responsible for planning and executing Össur’s business strategy by advancing customer relationships and driving sales growth of Össur Neuro Orthotic products in targeted accounts within a designated region. The Sales Specialist Neuro Orthotics will establish sales objectives and develop targeted sales activities to achieve these goals. This includes sales presentations, clinical education, product demonstrations, and patient evaluations for prosthetists, orthotists, surgeons, physical and occupational therapists, and other medical professionals to elicit the use of Össur prosthetic technology. We have 2 (two) positions available, one position to focus on the West Coast the other on the East Coast.

Requirements

  • Bacchelor’s Degree required
  • 5+ years in direct field prosthetic/orthotic sales.
  • Demonstrated sales capabilities consistent with meeting and exceeding revenue budgets and targeted objectives.
  • Consistent high level of sales performance vs. attainment and growth, expense management, and adherence/exemplification of the company’s core values.
  • Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to present to clinical, business, and mid-level administrative clients.
  • Demonstrates quality decision making.
  • Adaptable to changing situations.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, task, and time management skills.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Teams, and system databases.
  • Demonstrate proficient knowledge and use of Össur products.
  • Self-starter; ability to take initiative and also to seek guidance when appropriate.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Travel up to 75%

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within orthotics is preferred.
  • Experience successfully utilizing Salesforce System preferred
  • Experience in contract negotiations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Specialists must demonstrate the ability to develop and build relationships with various clinical and administrative decision-makers to expand Össur's core customer base and market share.
  • Identifies key business pathways and sales methods for increasing market share in targeted accounts.
  • Manages customer accounts in their designated region, by driving strategy and key initiatives.
  • Resident expert and trainer on selling NO products.
  • Leverages Össur’s industry-leading Neuro Orthotic product line to drive revenue while benefitting the customers financially and strategically.
  • Responsible for building key relationships with NO customers to drive demand for Össur products.
  • Makes effective use of all resources by collaborating and coordinating to sustain optimum performance and efficiency with a focus on growth and profitability.
  • Attains or exceeds monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives for all products.
  • Demonstrate collaborative teamwork with Sales Management, Össur Academy, and internal personnel.
  • Make scheduled personalized sales presentations to Orthotists, other medical professionals, and key decision-makers in the assigned region to elicit the use of Össur products and achieve sales goals.
  • Develops and uses industrial, technical, and competitive knowledge to overcome objections and effectively implement sales and product strategies.
  • Effectively and efficiently organizes account priorities and activities.
  • Submits accurate and timely business reports, including expenses, TSM, and CRM.
  • Exercises good judgment in the use of company funds to ensure business profitability.
  • Is proactive in cost containment and management of expenses.
  • Represents the Company in National/Industry Specific Trade Shows.
  • Build relationships with key industries and patient advocacy groups.
  • Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of company data, including new product information, marketing strategies, discount programs, pricing information, and other proprietary business information.
  • All employees must be aware, have knowledge and shall have received general training in Quality requirements of Össur. Training takes place in the Onboarding process and in New Employee Orientation. More specific Quality training is job specific. All training related to the quality management system is done in accordance to the Training Management Process (QM1681).
