About The Position
Major Food Distributor located in the Hunts Point Cooperative Market in the Bronx is looking for a Full-Time Sales Representative. As a Sales Representative, you will ensure that sales grow in the Northeastern region. This position will be reporting from the New York headquarters office and will be responsible for developing profitable new business as well as growing sales in existing assigned accounts in the Northeastern area. The Sales Representative addresses customer needs, manages accounts receivable, and builds strong client relationships while maintaining expenses within budget guidelines. Salary: $66,300 - $85,000
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED with at least one year of relevant experience
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to travel and work in diverse environments
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Experience in distribution sales
- Minimum two (2) years of sales experience
Responsibilities
- Achieve or exceed sales and gross margin targets
- Ensure accounts comply with company credit and A/R guidelines
- Monitor accounts receivable weekly and take action to maintain payment terms
- Analyze customer sales through weekly order reviews
