About The Position

America Works is seeking a dynamic and goal-oriented Job Developer to build employer partnerships and secure sustainable employment opportunities for program participants. This role combines business development, workforce placement, and career coaching. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and performance-driven.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, HR, Marketing, or related field).
  • 1–3 years experience in sales, workforce development, staffing, or recruiting.
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • CRM experience (Salesforce preferred).
  • Ability to manage multiple employer accounts and placements simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Employer Development & Outreach Identify and engage employers and nonprofit organizations with hiring needs.
  • Conduct field outreach and on-site employer visits.
  • Attend hiring events and coordinate recruitment sessions.
  • Maintain employer accounts and job leads in Salesforce.
  • Generate sales leads and secure support letters.
  • Participant Placement & Coaching Conduct resume reviews and mock interviews.
  • Match participants with appropriate job opportunities.
  • Assist with applications and interview scheduling.
  • Follow up with employers within one business day.
  • Record hires, terminations, and employment verification.
  • Collect pay stubs and documentation to confirm placements.
  • Performance & Reporting Meet weekly, quarterly, and annual placement goals.
  • Submit weekly reports by Friday at 5:00 PM.
  • Maintain accurate time logs for off-site interviews.
  • Professional Standards Maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Provide firm but empathetic guidance.
  • Collaborate as a team—no participant is assigned exclusively.
  • Ensure full organization of job orders and hiring pipelines.
