The Sales Representative person will generate volume growth and maximize margin in their assigned territory by providing industry leading customer service and order fulfillment excellence to establish superior, durable customer relationships.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Calls on regular customers to solicit orders by phone, quotes prices, obtains credit terms, and prepares sales contracts as needed.
  • Proactively identify potential problems and advise customers with prepared solutions or suggestions.
  • Execute all internal aspects of customer service and order fulfillment flawlessly.
  • Determine competitive pricing and merchandise to get a premium where possible.
  • Immediately inform sales management of market changes, information and pricing.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure that orders for products with special characteristics are ordered, confirmed and manufactured properly without fail.
  • Manage customer inventory programs so that material levels do not become excessive and material does not become obsolete.
  • Competently cover other territories when primary representative is not available.
  • Expedite prompt shipment of ready material.
  • Prospecting territory by cold calling
  • Has primary responsibility for staying in touch with customers on a continuous basis.
  • Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
