About The Position

Arcosa is seeking a Sales Representative based out of our Chandler, AZ office to support the Greater Phoenix market. This role is responsible for developing sales plans, managing inventories, maintaining customer relationships, promoting products to industry professionals, forecasting sales, understanding bid procedures, and ensuring timely payment collections while supporting production capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Undergraduate Degree, comparable experience may be substituted for preferred degree
  • Knowledge regarding pricing strategies and sales forecasting
  • 3-5 Years B2B Sales Experience Required
  • Sound working knowledge of aggregates and construction materials, including basic knowledge of customer uses of our products (i.e. concrete plants)
  • Knowledge of aggregates production including quality control
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills – verbal/written to establish and maintain good working relationships with customers
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Knowledge of material standards within construction industry.
  • Must be a self-starter, who works with little supervision.
  • The ability to join and participate in industry-related associations and present the Company in such activities

Responsibilities

  • Develop sales plans; gather information to identify sales opportunities to expand or improve our market position.
  • Assist with the development and execution of long-term product strategies.
  • Responsible for inventories in assigned territories.
  • When new products are developed, work closely with leadership on pricing strategies.
  • Maintain and grow existing customer relationships; work directly with the customer when problems are presented.
  • Work closely with internal and external customers to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Accountable for the development and understanding of state, county, and municipal bid letting procedures as well as engineering and design processes, project material specifications, and material testing specifications.
  • Conduct local sales and market surveys.
  • Promote company products and materials to engineers, architects and other specifying authorities.
  • Keep informed of changes in assigned responsibilities which may affect product sales, contract procedures, and product prices.
  • Develop forecast for anticipated market sales by gathering, evaluating and presenting to management all market information regarding company products.
  • Participate in community and social activities to promote the Arcosa brand.
  • Responsible for understanding Company’s production plant capabilities, efficiencies and cost to ensure maximum service to customers.
  • Responsible for timely collection of monies owed to Company and provide lien data to the credit department when appropriate and other duties as assigned.
