Join Caterpillar’s Customer Solutions Core Regions Division as a Construction Technology Sales Representative , driving the 2026 Core Region Technology Strategy for PacWest dealers. In this role, you will lead the go-to-market and commercial execution for the Construction Industries (CI) Technology Portfolio—including Cat Grade (grade control), VisionLink (equipment management & productivity), Cat Command (remote operation), and Detect (safety solutions). Your Mission: Accelerate adoption of connected, autonomous, and data-driven solutions that deliver measurable customer value by building strong relationships, deeply understanding customer needs, and influencing key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Customer Focus: Ability to understand customer’s business and pain points, anticipate evolving needs, and design solutions that deliver measurable value.
  • Value Selling: Skilled in articulating the business impact of technology solutions - productivity gains, safety improvements, and cost optimization.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction technology trends, including IoT, machine control, and remote operations.
  • Decision-Making & Critical Thinking: Proven ability to analyze data, identify areas for improvement, and uncover new opportunities.
  • Communication & Influence: Exceptional skill in translating complex concepts into clear, concise value stories. Able to adapt messaging for executive audiences or sales representatives, ensuring relevance and clarity for each stakeholder.
  • Negotiation & Relationship Management: Build strong partnerships with dealers, vendors, and customers to accelerate technology adoption.
  • Business Development: Identify and cultivate new growth opportunities in digital services and technology-enabled solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Champion Digital Transformation: Lead dealer and customer engagement to drive adoption of Caterpillar’s technology solutions, aligning with the 2026 vision for connected, autonomous, and integrated job sites.
  • Drive Market Intelligence: Gather insights from the field to identify opportunities and barriers to technology adoption; provide feedback to shape go-to-market strategies and product development.
  • Measure Impact: Track and report on technology adoption, utilization, and customer outcomes; use data to drive continuous improvement and demonstrate ROI.
  • Enable Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with dealers, product teams, and regional stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of technology initiatives and maximize customer value.
  • Customer-Centric Storytelling: Translate complex technology capabilities into compelling, value-driven narratives for dealers and customers; deliver presentations and recommendations to influence decision-making.
  • Relationship Building & Influence: Build trust-based, long-term partnerships with dealers and customers; negotiate and influence to overcome resistance and drive behavioral change.
