About The Position

The Sales Program Manager (SPG SRM) is a strategic role supporting the growth and development of our sales culture across SPG portfolio companies. Reporting to the Chief Sales/ Growth Officer, (CGO) this position collaborates with sales, marketing, and operational teams to deliver initiatives that drive sales enablement, program management, and market intelligence. The Program Manager leverages data, industry insights, and program management expertise to optimize sales performance and support innovative stop loss solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Health Economics, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in insurance, employee benefits, or stop-loss industry, with a focus on market research, competitive analysis, and broker collaboration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel (advanced), PowerPoint, and analytical tools.
  • Experience with Salesforce & Tableau
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strategic mindset with ability to interpret market data and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively with brokers, internal teams, and clients.
  • Knowledge of stop-loss insurance products and the self-funded insurance market preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis Monitor and analyze industry trends, competitive products, and regulatory changes in the stop-loss and self-funded insurance market.
  • Conduct benchmarking studies and competitor analysis to inform product development and enhance broker/client value.
  • Establish frameworks for sharing market intelligence with producer and consultant teams along with sales leadership.
  • Program Management & Implementation Oversee implementation and management of stop-loss programs, ensuring alignment with broker and client expectations.
  • Track key metrics, monitor program performance, and optimize programs as needed.
  • Support the refinement and development of captive programs, including feedback loops and training materials.
  • Broker Support & Collaboration Work with President & CGO to understand broker needs and offer tailored stop-loss solutions based on market insights and data.
  • Provide ongoing support by offering product knowledge, answering queries, and assisting with program selection and placement.
  • Develop and implement frameworks to evaluate vendors and carrier partners supporting producer teams
  • Sales Support & Administration Serve as administrator for sales tools and resources, including activation of new accounts, reporting, data mining/reconciliation, troubleshooting, and tracking utilization as it relates to programs being managed by CGO.
  • Support CGO and President oversee broker compensation including performance monitoring, production tracking, and funding accuracy.
  • Create comprehensive reports and presentations that provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Sales Enablement & Carrier Relations Assist with development of lead lists, RFPs, benchmarking reports, and sell sheets.
  • Provide proactive analysis which supports sales leadership’s ability to understand projected revenue along with gaps to sales forecast Coordinate with SPG as necessary to support cross sale initiatives
  • Technology Tools & Resources Main point of contact for all Producer and Client-facing tools and resources.
  • Present training sessions for Producers for new programs along with key updates to existing programs.
  • Additionally, provide training sessions on stop loss market trends.
  • Take ownership of posting and updating content on SharePoint and other platforms such as teams to help producers / organization stay up to date
  • Conference Logistics & Coordination ( SIIA and others focused on growth) Serve as primary contact and coordinator for internal and external conference/event planning.
  • Manage event budgets, logistics, and post-event evaluations.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) - Develop and distribute refined carrier RFI; create presentations and centralized repository for carrier differences.
  • Research and produce competitive landscape grids for cost containment vendors; support program recommendations for cost containment/data programs.
  • Create and maintain competitive intelligence documents and roadmaps for producers.
  • Support captive program development and training, including reporting and feedback loops.
  • Establish subject matter expertise (SME) in gene therapy program management, including maintaining a dashboard and monitoring the competitive landscape.
  • Lead and support additional program areas, such as cost containment, and other initiatives as needed.
  • Enhance reporting capabilities and become a resident expert in Salesforce/Tableau for KPI tracking.
