About The Position

The Sales Planner supports the Business Development team by providing sales coordination, administrative support, and project management assistance throughout the sales lifecycle. This role is critical to enabling Senior Business Development Directors through early-stage prospect qualification and, primarily, operational execution. The Sales Planner coordinates proposal development, manages internal workflows, supports post-sale activities, and ensures a smooth transition from sales to project execution. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working cross-functionally to support complex, high-value client projects.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Comfort working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with CRM platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with MS Dynamics CRM and/or Adobe Workfront.
  • Prior experience in sales support, sales operations, project coordination, or similar roles.
  • Exposure to B2B sales environments, trade shows, events, or design/manufacturing workflows.
  • Ability to analyze information and support operational decision-making

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outreach and assist with initial qualification of new sales prospects.
  • Support early-stage sales activities and prospect engagement.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date lead, contact, and opportunity records in CRM systems.
  • Ensure full project documentation and data integrity across all systems.
  • Coordinate sales-related projects from proposal development through execution, partnering with key departments to deliver accurate, timely, and client-ready materials.
  • Manage internal workflows during the sales process, including tracking inputs, timelines, approvals, revisions, and handoffs using Adobe Workfront and related systems.
  • Support post-sale activities by assisting with contract execution, coordinating invoice creation with Finance, and tracking incoming client payments.
  • From the sales side, support ongoing project execution by monitoring milestones, facilitating internal communication, and ensuring sales commitments are clearly documented and communicated.
  • Assist in documenting and improving sales planning and operational processes.
  • Develop templates, checklists, and tools to improve consistency and efficiency.
  • Act as a reliable point of coordination across Sales, Design, Project Management, and Finance.
