The Sales job family merchandises, promotes and sells the company's products, and services to customers. General areas of responsibility include developing and implementing sales strategies; identifying potential customers; managing existing customer and vendor relationships; and monitoring customer and competitor activity and industry trends. Positions in sales operations are responsible for the technical aspects of the sales process, protecting sales and profit and simplifying complex sales. This role is approved to be either Remote within the United States or Hybrid for associate in Newport News, VA, in accordance with company policy.

Requirements

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to drive process improvement and process documentation.
  • Self-motivated and a quick learner.
  • Strong communication skills which allow you to communicate effectively with individuals, in a group setting, and in writing.
  • Basic to Intermediate Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, etc.).
  • Strong organizational and critical thinking/decision-making skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in writing.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior pricing knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Price Loading Support the Sale and Sales Support organization with loading pricing through forms at a National level
  • Curate and maintain accurate internal records of price updates.
  • CORE Cost Preparing and submitting CORE Cost requests
  • Assisting with CORE Contract renewals
  • Product Crossing Research and identify matching Ferguson parts crossing to Competitor Parts
  • Assisting with reviewing competitor product to Ferguson product analysis
  • Maintaining accurate product updates
  • Assist with updating, maintaining and renewing Vendor Contracts for National Accounts
  • Special Projects Assist with special projects as dictated by peak seasons and workload
  • Assist with other tasks within National Accounts groups. These can consist of the following: Reporting Customer Matches Account Maintenance
  • Adhering to all policies, rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Performing other duties or functions as requested by management.
