A Sales Intern is responsible for completing an assigned department project during a specific time period, normally a 10 to 12 week temporary assignment. The Intern roles are assigned to a Shared Services, Sales or Operations department. WORK TASKS An Intern can be expected to perform the following tasks in this role as a routine part of their job: Works on an assigned department-specific project related to a current department or company initiative. (60%) Takes direction for assigned Coach and/or department representative on project steps, deadlines and deliverables. Attends relevant meetings as needed. Provides project updates as scheduled or requested. Makes a final project presentation at end of internship for communicate findings, learnings and provide improvement observations. Attends scheduled intern activities as part of the overall internship program to learn about the distribution business, the company and personal/career development. (25%) Assists with other department and/or company projects and initiatives as instructed. (10%) This list is not all inclusive of other tasks and subtasks that may be necessary in performing this role, but rather an overview of the role’s primary work tasks. QUALIFICATIONS A qualified candidate for the Intern role should satisfy the expectations below: REQUIRED 18 Years of Age or Older Proficient Communication Skills Current 4-Year College Student pursuing a degree in Marketing with an emphasis in professional selling. PREFERRED Previous Beer/Beverage or Retail Customer Service Experience. Proficient MS Office Suite Skills PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ESSENTIAL SKILLS Ability to maintain a sustained posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time and operate computer equipment. Ability to bend, stoop, and twist is required for filing and general office duties. Exerts up to 10 lbs of force occasionally and/or negligible amount frequently to move office-related items or materials. Ability to use a personal computer for tasks such as communicating via email and preparing reports and other forms of documentation using company and industry software. Ability to speak, hear, and see is required to communicate with employees, and to operate computers and office machinery. Hand-eye coordination and fine manipulation skills are necessary to operate computers and various office equipment. Continual hand/wrist motion is required to operate computers and office machinery.
