Sales Estimator Position Overview The Sales Estimator I is responsible for processing Requests for Quotes for Window and Door products from customers as directed by Quaker's Sales Order Supervisor. This is an entry level position that gathers proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. The Sales Estimator I computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements. Division: Commercial Department: Commercial Sales Reports to: Sales Order Supervisor Job Type: Full-Time FLSA: Non-Exempt Duties and Responsibilities Assemble accurate and well-organized estimates and proposals to Window and Door Quote requests and provide value-engineered options as applicable; These requests include those for new construction, nail fin up to 8 stories in vinyl and aluminum materials. Log Requests for Window and Door Quotes into Salesforce System – a cloud-based Customer Relationship Management system Work with a Sales Order Supervisor to facilitate the quote process, analyze architectural drawings and blueprints alongside the Sales Order Supervisor to review project specifications and ensure correct products and accessories are utilized. Timely return completed quotes to dealer customers and Sales Representatives responsible for the account being sure to point out any specific deviations Perform take-offs and document quote revisions as needed throughout the estimating stage Regularly document and update the quote in the Salesforce System Research, review and analyze historical costs of materials, labor costs, produced parts and production times for basis of quoting cost estimates Work internally with various groups to develop estimates of manufacturing costs and prepare internal cost analysis of all products Learn and then consider and incorporate Quaker's margins Continually work on navigation through Quaker's Q1 Quote and Order platform Create & cultivate relationships with current customers and new clients to establish current and future needs Answer incoming calls and communicate with dealer customers, outside Sales Representatives and the Sales Order Supervisor regarding new and current projects Maintain an organized system for working on multiple quotes at the same time Follow up weekly on pending quotes Prompt and regular attendance at an assigned work location. Interact with employees and customers in an appropriate manner. Confer on site with staff members with whom the employee must interact on a regular basis. Communicate via email and prepare reports. Plan, prioritize and monitor quote activities. Complete assigned tasks/projects in a timely manner.
