About The Position

The Sales Engineer at BOS Innovations plays a key role in expanding our customer base and strengthening relationships with manufacturers seeking advanced automation, robotics, and engineered solutions. In this customer-facing role, you will identify opportunities, present technical solutions, and guide customers through the process of selecting systems that improve productivity and operational performance. You will manage a mix of existing accounts and new business targets, handling everything from RFQ registration and proposal development to presentations, negotiations, and order closure. Working closely with Sales Leadership, Engineering, and Applications teams, you’ll ensure solutions are technically sound, competitively positioned, and aligned with customer needs. Your efforts will directly drive revenue growth, strengthen BOS’s market presence, and support long-term partnerships across the manufacturing sector.

  • You build strong, multi-level customer relationships, manage a territory effectively, and balance nurturing existing accounts with developing new business.
  • You’re skilled at guiding opportunities from RFQ through proposal and final negotiations, consistently maintaining accurate CRM updates, forecasting, and meeting targeted margins.
  • You communicate clearly, present confidently, and work strategically identifying target companies, executing business plans, and contributing to team initiatives.
  • You manage your time well, travel as needed, and stay informed on industry regulations, sales methodologies, and buying cycles.
  • Collaborative by nature, you share insights openly and approach every interaction with professionalism and a solutions-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Secure existing customers and develop new customers by selling BOS engineering solutions, as well as determining the best fit and best cost solution for the customer’s process or production flow
  • Responsible for a list of assigned existing accounts and target accounts, updated regularly
  • Within a territory, registering Requests for Quotes (RFQs) in the Sales database, and archiving all offers properly
  • Reviewing orders and booking project and component orders against a monthly and annual budget
  • Identify target companies for Business Development initiatives
  • Working with the VP of Sales and Marketing to develop a sales plan with strategies and plans for obtaining orders and programs for securing the existing customers
  • Develop an annual business plan outlining companies and industries to address
  • Ensure a high order intake with targeted margin by implementing the defined sales plan
  • The day-to-day tasks of conducting sales visits, quotation presentations along with Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) updates, forecasting, registering RFQs in the Sales database, archiving offers, etc.
  • Actively participate in the Sales and Marketing team to share skills and solutions
  • Facilitate final discussions with customers that close the sale
