About The Position

The Sales Director is responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth for ONYX Insight across North America by leading and scaling a high-performing sales organisation. This role owns the US sales strategy, pipeline, and execution, with a strong focus on enterprise SaaS and analytics-led solutions for the wind energy sector. The Sales Director will work closely with Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Engineering to align US customer needs with ONYX Insight’s value proposition and commercial strategy.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in a senior sales leadership role within B2B SaaS, data analytics, or energy technology in the US.
  • Strong experience selling complex, enterprise solutions with long sales cycles.
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling US sales teams.
  • Commercial acumen with experience in US pricing, forecasting, and contract negotiation.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, execution-focused mindset.
  • Highly credible communicator with strong executive presence.
  • Consultative selling approach with the ability to translate technical value into US business outcomes.
  • Data-driven decision-maker with strong analytical skills.
  • Collaborative leader who thrives in a cross-functional, mission-driven US market environment.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the US sales strategy aligned with ONYX Insight’s growth objectives and product roadmap.
  • Lead, coach and inspire a high-performing sales team across key US regions and customer segments.
  • Establish clear sales targets, KPIs, forecasting processes, and performance management frameworks.
  • Own revenue planning, pipeline health, and accurate forecasting for US operations.
  • Drive new customer acquisition and expansion of existing strategic US accounts across asset owners, operators, and partners.
  • Identify and develop new market opportunities, including emerging US geographies, customer segments, and commercial models.
  • Lead complex, consultative sales cycles involving senior US customer stakeholders and long-term contracts.
  • Negotiate and close high-value, multi-year SaaS and services agreements within the US market.
  • Act as a senior commercial ambassador for ONYX Insight with key US customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with C-level and executive decision-makers in the US.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure seamless handover, retention, and upsell opportunities.
  • Support strategic US partnerships and alliances that accelerate market access and revenue growth.
  • Work closely with Marketing to refine positioning, messaging, and demand generation strategies for the US market.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to provide structured US market feedback and influence product direction.
  • Align with Finance and Operations on US pricing, commercial governance, and deal structures.
  • Continuously improve sales processes, CRM usage, and sales enablement tools for the US sales team.
  • Ensure consistent application of pricing, contracting, and approval processes.
  • Build scalable US sales operations that support regional growth.
