About The Position

Our client is a high-growth, venture-backed security infrastructure startup that is seeking a driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join the foundational Go-To-Market (GTM) team in San Francisco. Our client is currently building an open-source security stack designed for the AI era, helping engineers manage secrets, internal PKI, and orchestration at a massive scale. This is a high-impact, high-expectation role designed for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are eager to solve complex problems. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow alongside a world-class team with experience from industry leaders like Figma, AWS, and Red Hat.

Requirements

  • Experience: 0–2 years of experience in sales, business development, or a similarly demanding, quota-driven environment.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to be concise, clear, and confident.
  • Mindset: High urgency, grit, and a coachable attitude. The candidate should take pride in outworking the competition and be comfortable with the fast-moving nature of an early-stage startup.
  • Resilience: Comfortable with rejection and highly motivated by hitting metrics and exceeding goals.
  • Location: Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate for a consistent on-site presence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Qualification: Identify and qualify high-potential leads to build a robust sales pipeline.
  • Meeting Generation: Book high-quality meetings for Account Executives through strategic outreach.
  • Product Mastery: Develop a deep understanding of the technical product, customer pain points, and specific security use cases.
  • GTM Strategy: Experiment with messaging, communication channels, and Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) to determine scalable sales tactics.
  • Market Feedback: Provide direct insights from the market to the founders and GTM team to help shape product positioning and sales motions.
  • Outbound Motion: Actively contribute to the definition and refinement of the organization’s outbound sales strategy.
