Reporting directly to the Senior Sales Director, National Accounts, the Sales Development Manager, Retail – Ontario will be responsible for driving sales performance, strengthening key customer relationships and executing strategic initiatives across major retail accounts in Ontario’s market for our Generics, Complex Gx and Biosimilars products. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sciences, or another related field.
  • 3-5 years sales experience in pharmaceutical sales, healthcare or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years and excellent knowledge of Canadian Pharmacy landscape.
  • Experience and comfortable selling Generics, Complex Gx and Biosimilars.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, as well as experience working with CRM systems and AI tools.
  • Demonstrated interest and comfort with new technologies.
  • Due to the nature of our operations and the territory of this position, oral and written fluency in English is required for regular communication with customers, partners, and/or colleagues, whether in Canada or internationally.
  • Must reside in Ontario, preferably GTA.
  • Availability to travel within Ontario.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Proven sales experience and performance achievements.
  • Strong ability to quickly build networks and relationships based on trust and a customer-centric approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Advanced skills in negotiation, objection handling, and managing challenging situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational skills and a high level of autonomy.
  • Ability to innovate and develop ideas that create a competitive advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Meet sales objectives as set yearly.
  • Develop and implement a yearly Plan of Action.
  • Complete quarterly business reviews with all major customers.
  • Do regular business analysis to identify opportunities and issues.
  • Present and secure product listings on new product launches.
  • Communication with key customers and internal key stakeholders; supply, marketing, sales force.
  • Attend all industry events and customer specific conferences or trade shows.
  • Some travel required.
  • Managing all administrative tasks in a complete and timely manner.
