About The Position

We are looking for motivated and driven individuals to join our team as Sales Development Interns for an 8–10 week summer internship. This is an excellent opportunity for students looking to gain hands-on experience in sales while learning the fast-paced transportation and logistics industry. In this role, you will focus primarily on prospecting and outbound outreach, including cold calling and emailing potential clients. You will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities and passing qualified leads to experienced sales representatives. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys communication, thinking creatively, and is not afraid to pick up the phone.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both phone and email)
  • Confidence and professionalism when speaking with new people
  • Creative and “outside-the-box” thinking to connect with prospects
  • Positive attitude, resilience, and willingness to learn
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic

  • Previous sales, customer service, or leadership experience is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound prospecting through cold calls and emails
  • Identify and qualify potential customers
  • Build initial relationships and generate interest in our services
  • Collaborate with senior sales reps by passing on qualified opportunities
  • Support operational activities such as researching market shipment rates and tracking freight
  • Learn the fundamentals of the transportation and logistics industry
  • Develop creative approaches to reach and engage new prospects
