About The Position

All internship positions are designed to give college students an opportunity to apply techniques learned in an academic setting while obtaining new skills. This is a paid internship offering full-time hours during the summer months. All interns are required to conclude the program by giving a formal presentation on their work. Please note that no relocation assistance or sponsorship is provided for the internship program at this time. This internship offers hands-on experience focused on lead generation, prospecting, and account planning within the life sciences industry. The intern will support sales leadership and field sales by reviewing prospecting data and creating lead lists that support sales outreach. Working closely with the sales team, the intern will help create clear, usable prospect summaries that improve visibility into lead quality and prioritization. Through collaboration with sales leadership and field sales, the intern will gain practical exposure to how leads are evaluated and prioritized in day-to-day prospecting activities.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in business, life sciences, marketing, data analytics, or a related field
  • Must have completed at least the sophomore year of college
  • Available to work full-time for the duration of the internship program
  • Based in or able to commute to the San Diego metropolitan area
  • Experience reviewing, organizing, or working with data or lists of information (e.g., research, prospect lists)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaborating with sales teams and sharing insights
  • Experience using Microsoft Copilot to organize and summarize information or support workflows
  • Comfortable using Microsoft 365 tools such as Teams and Outlook in a professional setting

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Power Automate, and SciLeads is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Partner with sales leadership and field sales to review prospecting data
  • Help evaluate and prioritize sales leads to support day-to-day prospecting efforts
  • Identify existing contacts and recent engagement activity within internal systems
  • Create concise account summaries to support sales planning and outreach
  • Use modern sales prospecting and Microsoft productivity tools to summarize insights and share updates with the team
