About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Developer / Business Development Executive to drive engineering sales for Engineering, Research and Development Services within Life Sciences domains. This role can be based in key U.S. regions including New England, New York, New Jersey, San Francisco Bay Area, San Diego, Minneapolis, and Chicago.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience either selling engineering services to Tier One Life Sciences OEMs or working directly for a Tier One Life Sciences OEM.
  • Experience delivering value added engineering solutions in one or more of the following functional areas: Research & Development (R&D), Manufacturing, Clinical, Regulatory, Laboratory or Quality.
  • Bachelor’s degree – Engineering or Sciences Degree.
  • Strong understanding of Life Sciences trends including Medical Devices, Cell and Gene Therapies, Biologics, and Gen AI.
  • Proven ability to seed, win and lead large strategic deals.
  • Strong consultative relationship-building skills and senior-level client engagement.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience Selling Life Science Manufacturing Engineering solution – PLM, MES, LIMS, QMS, and LS Industry SaaS applications like Veeva, TetraSciences, Benchling etc.

Responsibilities

  • Bring Capgemini’s engineering services value to major Life Sciences clients in North America.
  • Present, promote and sell solutions/services using proven arguments to existing and prospective customers.
  • Lead generation, qualification, negotiation, and closure of opportunities to drive profitable growth.
  • Build and manage a qualified sales pipeline consistent with account strategy.
  • Lead client relationships independently or with support from Client Partner or Client Leader.
  • Structure and craft deals for value, demonstrating offerings and capabilities.
  • Monitor client engagement levels and conduct periodic business reviews.
  • Embodies the sales function by developing content as well as presence, empathy, listening and trust with clients
  • Persuades clients at different levels to get the adequate buying network to close deal
  • Is insight driven and forward looking: understands the client within the context of the industry, the competition, the domain and its challenges and agenda to support the overall strategy
  • Proposes a clear sales strategy for the assigned territory, balancing the add on sales and new logos, and in alignment with Capgemini strategy and priorities e.g., innovation
